Welcome to a new round of course in the Brazilian dance Lambada! This course aims to give you a deepened structure of the Lambada movements and circularity. We will dive into variations and playfulness of steps that seem easy at first glance, but that will open up for variations and playful games on the dance floor.
Focus for this term will be analysis of the Lambada movement structure with inspiration from Lydia & Matheus that are coming to Stockholm In March - more info below.

Lambada is a dance style within Brazilian Zouk, a partner dance that is gaining popularity around the world. Lambada can be enjoyed to both slow and fast-paced music. It is known for its smooth, circular movements, fluidity, dynamic head movements (at the advanced level), and an infectious sense of alegria—joy! We warmly welcome you to step into the vibrant world of Brazilian rhythm, full of dance, laughter, fun, and inspiration.

INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED COURSE
Pre requirements: you should be familiar with the basic foundations of Lambada steps and know movements such as: soltinho, wifi, lateral, diagonal, chicotés. You'll refine your technique, explore creative variations, and deepen your understanding of the flow and essence of the dance. We also introduce you to the different stylistic interpretations within Lambada.
To join this course, at least one year of consistent Lambada practice or training is required. You should already be familiar with key moves such as the six basic steps, soltinho, invertido, etc The course is tailored to the participants’ needs, focusing on the specific techniques that will support the group’s development.

ABOUT BRAZOUKA STOCKHOLM
Brazouka Stockholm is the oldest dance school in Stockholm dedicated exclusively to Brazilian partner dance Lambada Zouk. We prioritize quality teaching and aim to provide every student with a strong foundation in technique, musicality, and connection. Since launching regular classes in 2008, Brazouka Stockholm has organized numerous Zouk events and invited renowned international instructors to teach in Sweden.
We’re also the founders of the popular summer Zouk evenings in Vasaparken and proud to be the first Swedish school featured in Brazilian dance congresses—including London Zoukfest (2018, 2019) and Brazilian Dance Holidays in Spain (2019).
In 2023, Brazouka made history by hosting Sweden’s first-ever Lambada Festival, complete with international instructors, workshops, and social dance parties.
