Join our She Climbs Mountains and Girls Rise Up community at Lakewood’s Annual Lantern Lighting Celebration on Friday, September 20. Lanterns will be provided to all attendees who are interested in decorating. Please register through the link provided by She Climbs Mountains so that we can provide an accurate number of lanterns at NO COST to attendees.
This event takes place from 5-8:30pm and includes activities outside of the lantern lighting, which we encourage SCM + GRU attendees to enjoy. Registrants will receive an email approximately one week prior to the event with detailed information regarding meeting time and location for lantern decorating and release as a community.

**ALL are welcome - She Climbs Mountains and Girls Rise Up participants, mentors, caregivers, additional family members, and friends are invited to join us for this special evening of honoring and remembering our mothers and other loved ones who have come before us.**
About The Ceremony
Join us at Lakewood with your family, friends and community for a moving and meaningful experience.
You can reserve a lantern, which Lakewood will provide, and decorate it with words or images of someone that you love and miss. Markers and supplies will be provided, if you would like to include a photo you will need to bring in a scanned or copied image as you will not be able to get the lanterns back.
At dusk, we will illuminate our lanterns together and release them onto the lake in a beautiful ceremony, reading the names of those who are missed. The effect is breathtaking and magical, connecting us to our loved ones and to each other.
