Are you interested in fishing one last tournament before its time to put the boat away? If so, then join us for our annual end of year tournament on Lake Waconia.
- Date: Sunday October 27th, 2024
- Lake: Waconia
- Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Launch: Lake Waconia Regional Park Public Access (SE corner of the lake)
- Format: 1 or 2 person teams
- Entry Fee: $100 per team (20 Teams MAX)
- Limit: 5 fish limit (Largemouth only)
- Big Bass: Included in $100 entry fee
- Off limits: 7:00 pm Saturday October 28, 2023
- Hosts: Mike Polencheck and Brad Longerbone
- We are limiting the tournament to the first 20 teams who register and pay by 5:00 PM Friday October 25th. . To register for the event please reachout to Mike Polencheck on Facebook messenger. He will collect your information and accept your payment (Venmo or PayPal only). We will do a random boat draw on Saturday October 26th and post the launch order to the Facebook event.
- We are obtaining a DNR permit for the tournament. We will pay back 100% of the entry fees collected (minus the cost of the permit). Payouts will be in cash at the tournament.
Sample payouts for a full field of 20 teams (20 teams x $100 = $2,000 less ~$70 for permit = $1,930 in total payouts):
- Big Bass $200
- 1st - $800
- 2nd - $500
- 3rd - $300
- 4th - $130
** Rules **
This is intended to be a low-key event with few rules, but there are some basic rules that will help avoid problems and keep everyone safe.
• 12” minimum (1 lb penalty for each short fish) & 8 oz penalty for each dead fish
• Late boats will be penalized 1 lb for each minute late and DQ’d after 5 minutes
• Tiebreakers based on total number of live fish and then biggest fish. If this doesn’t resolve the tie, then any prize money will be split between the teams that tie.
• All state and local fishing regulations must be followed
• Life Jackets must be worn while the main engine is running
• Be nice, Be safe, and Have fun!
