Lake Okareka Glow Worm Caves FlotillaIf you have a kayak or SUP, you are welcome to come and join us for a fun evening on the water, in the dark! We will be exploring the many wee caves and glow worm banks dotted around Lake Okareka.
• Friday 4th April
• Meet Boyes Beach at 7pm sharp (eat tea first!)
• SUP pumpers, come 15mins earlier to start pumping – 6:45pm
• Bring your own kayaks or SUPs and paddles
• Everyone MUST wear either:
o Full wetsuit and warm jacket AND life jacket OR
o Warm long clothes, jacket, AND a life jacket over the top
• Must also have minimum one headlight per craft
• Cover any bare skin with insect spray
• Take a drink bottle and wee snacks per craft, lots of paddling lol
• Highly recommend a waterproof/ziplocked bagged phone for pics, with a good pocket for safety
• Kids welcome but they are YOUR responsibility if they fall in/get cold/wanna go back/freak out about bugs or scary caves…
• No wusses allowed, proper adventurers only
• Plan on not being back to town until 9pm (snacks in car for after!!)
