Begin your day early with a 5:30 AM departure from Nairobi to maximize your time at the park. You should arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park around 8:00 AM. Once you’ve passed through the park’s main gate near Nakuru Town the game drive begins. In the morning explore the park’s rich wildlife. The park is famous for its populations of white and black rhinos as well as lions leopards buffaloes and various species of antelopes. Be sure to visit Baboon Cliff which offers a panoramic view of Lake Nakuru and the surrounding park. In the cooler part of the day animals tend to be more active offering great opportunities for wildlife sightings.
As the day draws to a close exit the park at around 3:30 PM and begin the journey back to Nairobi. The drive back offers more chances to appreciate the surrounding landscapes. You should arrive in Nairobi by around 6:30 PM marking the end of your adventure with a drop-off at your hotel or home.
