Lake Lure Music Festival (LLMF) is very excited to announce “An Evening of Bluegrass and More” on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, from 6-8:15pm featuring “Sister Sadie” from Nashville. They will be performing on the beautiful shores of Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure at the Pavilion. This multiple International Bluegrass Music Award-winning band (Grammy-nominated as well!), will bring you to your feet with their red-hot playing and beautiful harmonies. North Carolina-based duo Walter Finley and April Dawn will open our concert on the Pavilion stage. This is an event to raise funds for the Lake Lure Classical Academy. Each year, the Lake Lure Music Festival generously donates from ticket sales and sponsorship to the Lake Lure Classical Academy. In 2023, in addition to a $10,000 donation to LLCA, the Festival donated $5,000 to the Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach to help LLCA children and their families with food insecurity. Comprised of original members Deanie Richardson (fiddle), Gena Britt (banjo & vocals), and newcomers Jaelee Roberts (guitar & vocals), Dani Flowers (guitar & vocals), and Maddie Dalton (acoustic bass & vocals), Sister Sadie has combined the varied talents of each of the individual women in the lineup to create something that is far more than the sum of its parts.
