Meet at 9:00 am at the carpark at Lake Leschenaultia. Travel 10.5 km past Mundaring on Great Eastern Highway and turn left into Old Northam Road, and it is 2 km into Chidlow. At the roundabout turn left into Thomas Rd, and after 300m turn right towards Lake Leschenaultia (signposted) along Rosedale Road. After 2 km turn left into the park. It is now free to enter the park. Inside the gate bear left and keep going until you reach the main carpark.
A 6 km walk on an excellent track takes us through Jarrah, Marri and Wandoo woodland where 77 bird species have been recorded.
Bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined bird list.
