We are heading to Houston. On February 22nd we will be hosting a Kayak Catfish Tournament on Lake Houston. The purpose of this tournament is to gauge interest in having more tournaments like this in the area. This tournament does not require a PKA membership. Entry fees are $50 and an option $10 for the Big Fish side pot. Tournament will be scored based on your 3 longest fish.
Meet up / Captain's meeting will be 2/21/25 at 6pm. The meeting will take place at TBD. Make sure that you bring your measuring board with you in order for it to be checked. Board checks will be from 6-630pm with the captain's meeting starting at 630pm. You will receive the identifier for the event at the meeting. If you are not able to attend the captains meeting you may come to the Alexander Deussen Park boat ramp at 6am the morning of the tournament for board check and to receive your identifier.
The morning of the tournament you may launch from any publicly accessible location on the lake. Boundaries will be the Lake Houston Dam on the south. The I69 bridge on the west fork of the San Jacinto river. And the ROW (right of way) powerline clearing on the east fork San Jacinto and Caney Creek. Lines in is 7AM and lines out is 2PM
We will have a meet up / check in after the tournament. Our check-in will be at Alexander Deussen Park boat ramp. You must be at the check-in location no later then 3PM.
