Please join us for an educational tour of Lake George State Forest. Florida Forest Service staff will discuss forest management, recreation, and habitat management on an eco-buggy tour of the Dexter Mary Farms tract on Lake George State Forest. Meet at the multi-use parking area at the intersection of St. Johns River Road and Bluffton Road off of State Road 40. The parking area is located 2 miles south of the St. Johns River Road and State Road 40 entrance of Lake George State Forest at 1345 Bluffton Rd, Astor, FL 32102. ** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program.
ACTIVITY: The tour will take place on a hay-ride style, covered trailer with benches. There will be some easy, short walks as well.
RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.
TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.
AGES: All ages are welcome.
ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing for the outdoors
WHAT TO BRING: water, sunscreen, and bug spray
FACILITIES: There are bathroom facilities on site.
