The National Capital Planning Commission is the federal government's planning agency for the National Capital Region. The 12-member Commission meets monthly to adopt, approve, or provide advice on plans and projects that impact the nation's capital and surrounding areas.
NCPC's work includes:
- Comprehensive Planning
- Federal Capital Improvements
- Review and Approval of Federal Plans and Projects
- Signature Planning
LAIGW is pleased to offer its members an opportunity to visit the Commission’s offices and hear from staff about the many exciting plans and projects taking place throughout the region. Lunch will be provided.
Note: We're not meeting at Clyde's - We're meeting at the NCPC offices this month!
This year is the agency’s Centennial. Many events have been held to commemorate this anniversary and there are more to come. Of special note is an exhibit at Arena Stage that presents the people, events and issues that shaped the evolution of Planning in Washington, DC and the region. We will learn more about Centennial activities at the meeting.
