The Peak District's Most Iconic WalksThe Edale Skyline is the Ultimate Peak District vantage point. Discover the beautiful Edale Valley, while traversing its most famous section over some of the Peak District's most beautiful terrain and most iconic summits. Then spend a day exploring the iconic banks of the stunning Ladybower Reservoir, passing the impressive Derwent Dam and the captivating giant plug holes.
Day 1: KINDER SCOUT
From Edale in the beautiful Hope Valley, we take on a tough climb to reach the plateau of Kinder Scout, famed for the historic mass trespass that lead the way to today's public rights of way and access to so many beautiful parts of the UK.
On the way we pass some of the most interesting rock formations you will ever see and descend via Jacob's Ladder, accompanied by stunning views all the way! (Approx 12 miles).
We make our descent via Jacob's ladder, before heading back to finish back in Edale.

Start Location: Edale Village Car Park, Hope Valley.
Day 2: LADYBOWER RESERVOIR & DERWENT EDGE
We spend the day exploring the iconic banks of the stunning Ladybower Reservoir, passing the impressive Derwent Dam and climbing over 1,700ft to take in beautiful elevated views over the whole area.
Our trail leaves the car park and within a few minutes we are walking towards the impressive Derwent Dam. An amazing structure, towering high above.
The route then takes us up into open access land and onto the Derwent Valley Skyline walk. We hop over the peaks of Lost Lad and Back Tor, before skirting the Derwent Moors. Panoramic views of the entire area, especially Kinder Scout and Win Hill are offered up from all sides. Our descent leaves us returning via the eastern edge of Upper Derwent Reservoir.
