It's time to celebrate us mujers in all our creative prowess...and while contributing to a local cause for women! The stellar all-female line-up has some of the our favourite local dames alongside some fiery outsiders to mark International Women's Day. Shoe-gaze, dream pop, gypsy, indie, afro, bass...it's all happening at Lady Horse!Sydney's favourite ethereal indie garage shoe-gaze trio, Julia Why?, headlines the live acts. Eponymous frontwoman, Julia Wylie, is joined by Kat Harley and Frank Salt on drums - three people creating a huge amount of sound. They'll have just released their album "dust suspended on a sunbeam", written on the Sapphire Coast.
Live acts will be followed up with DJs Kaarj, Suga and Mays to bring home the night, yeehaaaww!
International Women's Day has been around for over a hundred years, as have many of the issues still impacting women's advancement. IWD is the biggest women-focused fundraising day of the year.
