Women of Christchurch, we are back again with another monthly walking event. If you are looking to find female friendships, but struggle to find connections, then this event is for you.Walking along Sumner waterfront, this event is for women only. Come along, arrive as you are, and spend some time with Mother Nature and other like minded women.
Where: We meet beach side at Sumner Surf Life Saving Club - You will see me, I wear bright yellow to match our group colours.
The walk only takes around 35mins return.
As Sumner is getting busy now, I recommend you arrive early to obtain a park. There is plenty of parking around this space.
We are also starting at an earlier time now as it is getting busier.
Whilst there are a lot of cafes around Sumner, it has been increasingly hard to stick to the event times as the cafes are so busy now. So this event is now purely a walking event.

Meet Your Host: Carissa Jade
Carissa has spent years dedicated to her own personal growth and development. Her love for women’s circles began when she decided to prioritize herself, seeking a community of like-minded women to support her on her healing journey. This commitment to self-discovery and empowerment led her to completely transform her life: she separated from a marriage that no longer served her, sold a beautiful house, changed careers, and even moved countries. Now living her dream life in New Zealand, Carissa has manifested her ideal reality, including meeting her dream man, who is now her husband, and landing a job she loves, where she teaches young adults how to manifest their own dream careers.
Carissa deeply believes in the power of the divine feminine and knows firsthand how women supporting women can change lives and help achieve dreams. She also understands the challenges of building genuine friendships and has created a space in Christchurch for women to come together in friendship, connection, and authenticity.
Beyond women’s circles, Carissa is a full-time adult tertiary teacher. She was previously an assistant nurse and, before that, a flight attendant for 14 years, traveling the world. After a lifetime of being a bit of a gypsy, she now calls Christchurch home and is happily settled in this beautiful town in the South Island of New Zealand. Carissa loves her family, which includes two beloved dogs, and one day, she plans to become a homesteader. Mother Nature is her greatest influence, guide, and space holder.
Carissa’s intention with women’s circles is to create a safe and nurturing space for women to achieve their dreams, fostering a community of support, friendship, and empowerment. She invites all women in Christchurch to come together, uplift one another, and build authentic connections
