Ladies RIDE, READ & RELISH - Saturday 28th Sept - 11am

Come and join us for a delighful day of fun and relaxation! Grab your bike and get ready to savor the outdoors with like-minded women. Let's ride through scenic paths towards Bede Park, where we shall stop for a lovely picnic, immerse ourselves in some captivating creative reading, and enjoy some yummy treats. Whether you're a cycling enthusiast or love to read, this event is the perfect opportunity to unwind and connect with fellow ladies. See you there!

Delivered by Sistas for sisters, this ride will take you through Leicester's bustling city centre to the tranquil paths of Bede park, as we enjoy the scenic views along the way!

The route is approx. 4 miles, mostly flat with soime use of roads and mixed use spaces so riders must be able to safetly stop, start and set off.

MEETING POINT: Community Cycles shop, 10 Bishop Street LE1 6AF (opposote Town Hall Square).

We will have a stop at Bede Park where we shall share some of our snacks and tea, feel free to bring your own. And enjoy some of our riders reading their short creative writing.

We aim to be back at the advertised end time but allow 15-20 mins earlier/later. We ride at party pace and take as many breaks as the group needs.

What to bring :

A working bike (let us know if you need to borrow one), helmet (also provided if you need one), water and comfortable weather-appropriate clothing.

FAQs

I don’t have a bicycle or helmet will you provide me with one? Yes, we will provide you with a bicycle and helmet for the session.

How much is it? We have managed to get funding for these Ride sessions by Cycling UK. So the sessions are free to you. Sometimes our funders ask that you complete a survey. Completing the survey isn’t compulsory but the more surveys completed helps us to get more funding which will allow us to run more free Ride sessions.

I’ve never cycled before are these Ride sessions right for me? No, you should be able to ride a bike confidently.
