Olivia Michaels studied Jewelry Design + Metalsmithing at Pratt Institute and has since worked in production management, custom design and fabrication, and the fashion jewelry industry. Her teaching experience includes many years at Parsons School of Design. Sunim Choi studied Business Administration at Florida International University and later Jewelry Design + Fabrication at Studio Jewelers in New York City. She then went on to teach and design at a Brooklyn based jewelry shop, which she managed for nearly a decade. Together Olivia and Sunim opened Goldpoint in 2022, offering unique unisex jewelry to their favorite New York neighborhood.
Andrea Garcia graduated from Pratt Institute with a B.F.A. in painting in 2022. During her time at Pratt she took several jewelry classes that led to her interest in pursuing the art of jewelry making alongside her pursuit of painting. Her main method of jewelry production is wax carving. She carves pieces inspired by her new body of paintings which explore themes related to childhood, such as childhood wounds and inner child healing.
Brooklyn born designer, Odette Channell, spent her childhood traveling. In each new place, she found comfort and confidence in jewelry and the tangible story that it tells. Odette's label, O Channell Designs, is built on the idea that the need to adorn is both intimate and universal. Her jewelry is made to highlight personality and capture moments of significance to give the wearer the same comfort she found in donning her own story. It is eclectic, elegant, and playful; a reflection of the imperfect beauty of nature, and a response to the materials that form it.
Brigid McNellis, the founder of Mon Pilar, established her NYC-based jewelry brand in 2020 as a tribute to her mother, Monica Barbara Pilar. With over a decade of experience studying, teaching, and working in the jewelry industry, Brigid's journey is shaped by her passion for craftsmanship and her artistic sensibility honed through studies in Spanish and Italian craft traditions. Her designs reflect a distinctive blend of modern luxury and heartfelt homage, aiming to empower women and evoke a sense of beauty and love in every piece.
Tina Serrano has worked in vintage and antique fine jewelry sourcing, curation, and branding for almost a decade. Her experience spans from working in a classic diamond district setting to traveling around the country curating vintage collections for trendy Brooklyn designers. Her love of eccentric and classic pieces along with her historical knowledge are the basis of her passion for vintage jewels.
