The Ladies Learn to Sail Course is a weekend long course aimed to provide women with an introductory knowledge of sailing and crewing on a cruising yacht.We set sail aboard a 32ft yacht in a small group of 5 sailors plus our friendly, experienced instructor Laura.
Over the weekend, we will spend time sailing in the harbour, learning about how to propel the vessel with the wind, navigation and safety onboard. Every participant will have the opportunity to helm the vessel while under sail.
Each day we will stop for lunch in a beautiful bay, where we will learn about how to anchor and tie knots while enjoying the scenery. We also try to enjoy some down time where the sailors can relax aboard, or head into the water for a swim.
It’s a fun hands-on course to enjoy being on the water while learning sailing skills with likeminded gals.
Maximum of 5 participants, so get in quick.
9am-5pm on the 8th & 9th November, departing from Westhaven Marina in downtown Auckland.
Cost - $1150 incl GST per person
