Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains // Get Punk'd

Frustrated and headstrong Corrine Burns (Diane Lane) forms her own band, The Stains, with her sister and cousin after seeing the punk band The Looters (starring members of the Sex Pistols and the Clash) perform. The Stains’ unconventional, punk rock attitude is quickly praised as female empowerment and deemed revolutionary, turning them into a mainstream success way out of their control. Known for inspiring riot grrl icons Bikini K*ll and Bratmobile and directed by famed music and film producer Lou Adler (Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cheech and Chong). 

'GET PUNK'D' is a monthly series recognizing the obscurity and unruliness of punk subculture. Ranging from low-budget indie flicks to coming-of-age dramas, these films feature a heavy dose of gritty rock 'n' roll soundtracks, DIY methods, and anti-establishment attitudes.
