đź’¬ Q&A
Q: What is a 3x3 lacrosse tournament?
A: It’s a fun, small-sided version of lacrosse played with a tennis ball—three players per side, no goalies. Games are fast-paced, interactive, and perfect for building confidence and teamwork.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: Participation is free thanks to our sponsor, PLL Assists, the philanthropic arm of the Premier Lacrosse League. RSVPs are required to reserve your spot — register now at www.cjrfoundation.com/events/lacrosse-field-day
.
Q: Do kids need to bring their own equipment?
A: Players should bring their own stick, cleats, and mouthguard if possible. We’ll provide extra sticks and pinnies for those who need them.
Q: How will teams be formed?
A: Teams will be organized on-site to ensure fair and fun play. If friends sign up together, we’ll do our best to keep them on the same team.
Q: What if my child doesn’t have Type 1 Diabetes?
A: All kids ages 12+ are welcome! This event is about raising awareness, building community, and having fun — whether or not your child has T1D.
Q: What’s included with registration?
A: Each player will receive a CJRF canvas swag bag full of goodies, and lunch is included!
Q: Will there be opportunities to learn about Type 1 Diabetes?
A: Yes! During lunch, we’ll host a Q&A panel featuring athletes living with T1D, doctors, and healthcare providers who will answer questions and share experiences.
Q: Are parents encouraged to stay?
A: Absolutely! Parents are welcome to watch the games, cheer on the athletes, and join the lunch + Q&A to learn more about T1D and community resources.
Q: Will there be prizes?
A: Winning teams will receive a special prize item (to be announced!).
Q: What is the goal of this event?
A: To raise awareness and support for athletes living with Type 1 Diabetes, while giving kids a fun and engaging lacrosse experience.
