Join the Lacombe and District Historical Society at Ugly's Pub and Grill on December 7th 2024 at 7:00 pm for a quizzical experience of historic nature. 6-8 Teams of 4-6 will compete for the title of LORDS OF HISTORY.
Which comes with a stunning trophy and some history themed prizes.
Teams can reserve a spot by providing a $20 deposit to the Lacombe Museum. Email [email protected] to reserve a spot.

As an inaugural event this quiz will serve as a trial to see if Lacombe has the appetite for Historically themed fun, drink, and Merriment.
The theme for this quiz is Robin Hood. Teams that come dressed in costume will be awarded a point per costumed participant to add to their final quiz score.
Teams will also choose from a collection of edicts that they can enact during the quiz night to increase their chances of winning!
Edicts:
(Event Sponsor) King Richard, Two edicts, “Bring Me My Mead” give this edict to the pub quiz marshall and get 2 pitchers of beer for your table, or share them, it’s the king’s edict after all, they do what they wish. “A Roasted Swine For My Soldiers”, play this edict and each team member can order one of any appetizer on the house!
Little John, “May the best John win”. Little John team and Prince John team must select a champion to face off against each other in a best of 5 game of rock papers scissors. Winner gets a point.
Friar Tuck, Take 5 points from any team and split them equally amongst every team.
Robin Hood, Take 2 points from the team in the lead and give it to the lowest team.
Maid Marian, Take 2 points from Robin hood, and 2 points from
Prince John, For 1 round, get the answers for 2 of the questions.
Sheriff of Nottingham, “Tax” everyone, taking 1 point from every team, giving 3 to Prince Jon, while keeping 2 for themselves.
Sir Hiss: Gets the chance to get two wrong answers changed to right answers during the event.
Alan-a-Dale: During the music round this team gets the opportunity to get 2 points for every correct answer.
