L.A.C.E. – Ladies Awareness, Confidence & Empowerment – “A Girls Guide to Kicking Butt!” (Women's Self Defense Seminar)Our specialized Women’s Self-Defense workshop has been designed to prepare women both physically and mentally to react and defend in life-threatening situations. The workshop covers a select few topics drawn from the open class curriculum across a wide variety of scenarios both inside and outside (vehicles, dark parking lot, etc.) of our training facility. Training will introduce you to the tools needed to fend off a would-be attacker and allow you to feel safe, secure, and empowered in your everyday life.
Throughout the monthly workshops, we cover techniques such as releases from grabs, chokes and bear hugs, striking defenses, weapon disarming and ground survival techniques. Emphasis is placed on preparation to defend under stress – effectively eliminating the “shutting down and freezing” reaction.
Women of all ages, sizes and physical abilities are invited to participate and we recommend attending more than one workshop. The upcoming workshop is set for June 9, 2024, running from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, and there is an enrollment fee of $45.
Requirements: You must be at least 13 years old to participate. If you are a minor, a parent/legal guardian must sign the participation agreement form before you can attend. When enrolling, please enter your date of birth. #selfdefense #kravmaga #kravmagaanc #alaskastrong
