The Labour Mobility Weeks (LMW) – International Career Gateway is a flagship event led by the German Jordanian Centre for Labour Mobility (GJC) and implemented by the German-Jordanian University (GJU). The GJC was established under the Centres for Migration and Development (ZME) project, which is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour (MoL).The initiative enhances the employability of Jordan’s skilled workforce in the Information Technology, and Industrial Engineering sectors, by preparing them for international labour market opportunities through awareness, assessment, and training.
Over two days, visitors can access career guidance, advisory services on mobility and intercultural readiness, success stories from Jordanians abroad, and networking with employers and experts.
The event welcomes graduates, professionals, employers, and stakeholders. Following the event, participants will undergo technical and psychological assessments, after which around 80 candidates will be selected from an initial pool of 300 applicants to join the first training cohort in December 2025.
The program emphasizes gender inclusion (minimum 35% female participation) and close collaboration between GJU, the Ministry of Labour, and the Vocational Training Corporation.
