Labor Of Love and Solidarity September#LaborOfLove
Across our communities, essential and NON CRIMINAL immigrant workers are being ripped away from their families by cruel and unnecessary ICE raids. Children are waking up to find a parent gone. Households are being pushed into crisis overnight. These are not isolated incidents—this is systemic violence, and it’s happening on our watch.
This Labor Day, Indivisible Knoxville is joining forces with Hola Lakeway to raise awareness and assist with direct support to families who have been torn apart and left children without their primary caregivers and earners, we are coming together as a community to demand justice—and to support those left behind.
#SolidaritySeptember
In the spirit East Tennessee’s diverse, welcoming, and passionate volunteer heritage, our ACTION will be on Labor Day in reverence to immigrant families who have lost primary earners, but the fundraiser will be ongoing from now until the end of September.
✨ WHY WE GATHER
🔹 To stand in solidarity with immigrant workers and communities and to stand against the cruelty of ICE enforcement
🔹 To lift up our shared moral call to love our neighbors
🔹 To hold lawmakers accountable for cruel immigration policies
🔹 To demand humane, just immigration policy grounded in dignity and compassion
