Labor Day Date Night

This Labor Day weekend, beat the heat and enjoy a unique Saturday evening date night with art-making, live music, community vibes, and spicy snacks. Rain or shine indoors in the grand ballroom at AARC.

6p to 7p: Couples' Painting

• Create your own Texas-themed souvenir painting alongside your date! Together you'll learn to paint a Texas Longhorn in a live step-by-step painting session. All supplies provided, and you'll both get to take your masterpieces home!

7p to 9p: Live Music, Art, and Spicy Bites

• Enjoy spicy samosas and chai while you connect over live music and stroll around the ballroom to admire inspiring displays of original artwork.

Fun Photo Opps & Activities Throughout the Evening

• Smile and take a photo with "Joy," our life-size Texas Longhorn lovingly handpainted by community members on a 12-foot backdrop with a hill country landscape scene.
• Enjoy arts activities and contribute to fun community arts projects, including the Citywide Community Tile Mosaic, a project we've been curating all summer long with contributions from community members across Austin.
• Spend some time at the Cards for Seniors table with your date and work together to craft a few handmade cards for local seniors living in longterm care facilities.

All tickets include couples' entry to the event to enjoy snacks (samosas and chai), live music, photo opps, art displays, and community arts activities.

• Premium Couples' Experience includes two seats for the painting session from 6p to 7p.
• VIP Couples' Experience includes VIP couples' seating up front at the painting session from 6p to 7p, souvenir tote bags, and VIP reserved onsite parking at the venue.
