Le linn an chur i láthair seo ag am lóin, faigh léargas ar ár bpíosaí deireanacha taighde ar an Ghaeilge!
Céim ar Chéim
Tá ról an-tábhachtach ag an Ghaeilge i stair Chathair Dhoire. Sa chur i láthair seo, beidh Mary Delargy, atá i mbun an tionscadail Céim ar Chéim, agus cuid de na hoibrithe deonacha, ag insint dúinn faoi na scéalta suimiúla ar tháinig siad orthu agus iad ag déanamh taighde ar an teanga sa chathair le céad bliana anuas.
Droichead
Le cuidiú cur i gcoinne na miotas agus na steiréitíopaí atá thart timpeall na ndaoine a roghnaíonn an Ghaeilge a fhoghlaim agus a labhairt, tá an tionscadal Droichead de chuid na Cultúrlainne i ndiaidh píosa nua taighde le hamharc go sonrach ar an dóigh a ndearcann daoine ar an Ghaeilge nach raibh taithí ar bith acu ar a foghlaim. Táthar ag súil le go dtabharfaidh an fhaisnéis a bhaileofar sa tuarascáil seo túsphointe do chomhráite nua in áiteanna nua.

Tá an tuarascáil, ‘How long is a piece of string: Attitudes to the Irish language among non-traditional learners’ mar thoradh ar an taighde sin. Bí linn, le do thoil, agus sinn ag cur i láthair na dtorthaí a chuirtear isteach agus sinn ag meabhrú, “cad é mar is féidir linn iad a úsáid, agus cad iad na ceisteanna eile a gcaithfidh muid a chur?”

During this lunchtime presentation, gain insights into our latest pieces of research into the Irish language!
Céim ar Chéim
The Irish language plays a very important role in the history of Derry City. In this presentation the project coordinatior, Mary Delargy will be joined by some of the volunteers to share the fascinating stories they uncovered while researching the language in the city over the past one hundred years.
Droichead
To help counter the myths and stereotypes that surround those who choose to learn and speak Irish, An Chultúrlann’s Droichead project commissioned a new piece of research to specifically look at how the Irish language is viewed by those who have had no experience of learning it. The hope is that the information gathered in this report will provide a starting point for some new conversations in some new places.
The report, 'How long is a piece of string: Attitudes to the Irish language among non-traditional learners.' is the outcome of that research. Please join us as we present the results submitted and consider, “how we can use them, and what other questions do we need to ask?”
