Each Wednesday evening, as part of the course Playwright's Lab, an early draft of a student written play is presented in an orchestra style reading.Admission: free and open to the public.
Playwright's Bio: Adrian is a first year studying Playwriting at Hollins University Playwright’s Lab. She hails from Alabama, where she has staged eight original full-length plays, most of them commissioned pieces. Having started her career as an actress, Adrian has portrayed Thérèse in Sherlock Holmes (2017), Mrs. Barbara Henry in Ruby(blesséd 2020), and the Female Swing for Macbeth, at Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Local roles in Montgomery include Alice in Bright Star, Ivy in Fair and Tender Ladies, Lady of the Lake in Spamalot, and Katie Lane Murphy in Honky Tonk Laundry. A proud member of SAG-Aftra, she grew up in Birmingham, earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Niagara University, and she spent eight thrilling years as an actress/dancer/singer in Los Angeles. While there, Adrian dabbled in film & TV, co-founded a non-profit theatre company, Above the Curve Theatre – and she sang & danced as Bettie Lu LeMont in the Satin Dollz pinup dancers.
