La table du vigneron - Alessandra Divella
Join us for an unforgettable evening at Racines as we welcome the renowned winemaker Alessandra Divella, Gussago, produces high-quality sparkling wines! She specializes in micro-vinifications of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, aged in cement, barriques, and tonneaux. The wines remain on the lees for two to five years, all with zero dosage. With only a limited number of bottles, Alessandra is a remarkable interpreter of her unique terroir.
Alessandra Divella is a winemaker in Franciacorta, based in Gussago, in the eastern part of the region, within the hilly area that includes Monticelli Brusati, Parmezzana, all the way to Cellatica and the Campiani hill. This is the historic Franciacorta wine-growing region, where vineyards thrived long before they expanded into the plains leading to Lake Iseo.
In this area, the glacier never deposited its moraines, leaving behind ancient soils rich in clays, limestone, and fossils. These unique soils impart a particular texture and structure to the wines, resulting in glasses of great substance and vigor.
Alessandra’s conservative winemaking style aims to transfer the extraordinary richness of the land into the finished wine. In practice, this involves minimalistic agriculture, which draws inspiration from permaculture, and a stripped-down cellar protocol featuring spontaneous fermentations and zero dosage.
Her wines are marked by clean, rounded flavors that pair remarkable freshness with the long-lasting depth brought by the fine and substantial mineral structure.
