𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸! Our upcoming La Sape Saturday (January 31st, 2026) just became a 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 with the addition of an intermediate semba focused workshop during the day!
Lena and Nathan have been teaching together for many years at the UBC Latin Dance Club, but this is the first time they are offering intermediate workshops together in Vancouver. The workshop will focus on lead and follow technique during open steps while dancing semba and kizomba.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟮.𝟱 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟭:𝟬𝟬-𝟭:𝟯𝟬𝗣𝗠 𝗮𝘁 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲.
Then in the evening, we will clean up real nice and take ourselves back to 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘀 for the second edition of the La Sape. In the tradition of the sapeurs of Brazzaville and Kinshasa, we encourage you to bring your best fits. Bold, vibrant, refined self expression.
