PROGRAM
This concert is part of a series that is a musical dedication and tribute to the free people of color who founded La Société Philharmonique in Tremé. T4T and the LPO will present this inaugural tribute to composers and musicians who established a musical legacy in Pre–Civil War New Orleans, and 20th century symphonic masterpieces composed by, written by or made famous by Black Artists & Musicians.
Collaborating with Tremé 4 Tremé and The New Orleans Legacy Project to present this historical & cultural series, the LPO aims to achieve transformational community-wide progress celebrating the rich musical history of Tremé and the historic culture of New Orleans.
The suggested dress code is cocktail or Afrofuturism.
