About this Event
You’re invited to join La Marzocco and Covoya Specialty Coffee at the La Marzocco Leeds showroom on the 8th of August to engage in a Sensory Olympics.
We’ll be exploring a wide range of coffees and highlighting the key differences between specialty and commodity. We’ll be challenged to identify quality and flavours in the cup, and put our tastebuds to the ultimate test.
Have you ever wondered what makes a certain coffee more expensive than another? Covoya’s Simon Humes will be walking us through the all-important question “What is Specialty Coffee?” and be on hand to assist with any questions you may have about what makes coffee Specialty, and it’s importance in our industry.
Never cupped before? The team from Covoya will be on hand to share their expertise and walk us through all we need to know about cupping coffees. This event is open to all, and we encourage everyone from the well-seasoned coffee enthusiast to those who may have never participated in a cupping before. Full guidance will be given.
Afterwards, be sure to join us for some delicious pizza and ice-cold beer to end the evening! We can’t wait to meet you.
If you have accessibility requirements, please give Derry at an email in advance to let us know so that we can make sure we can welcome you to the event.
