A celebration of light and color, featuring Gabriella Smith's 'Bioluminescence Chaconne' and a selection of French masterpieces by Debussy, Fauré, and Ravel.LJS&C is excited to bring a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration to our December concert “Luminosity.” For the first time since Infinity Cube was installed as an immersive installation at Birch Aquarium at Scripps in 2019, San Diego audiences can experience bioluminescent projections once again—this time with a symphonic twist.
The projections created by artist Iyvone Khoo and marine biologist Dr. Michael Latz will be showcased in concert as the symphony performs Gabriella Smith’s shimmering piece Bioluminescent Chaconne.
