About this Event
Organized as part of Francophonie Week, in partnership with Alliance Française Silicon Valley and the French American School of Silicon Valley, la Dictée is designed as a friendly, inclusive, and community-oriented event, open to children and adults, celebrating our shared love for the French language and the broader Francophone world.
Several dictation levels will be offered so that everyone can participate.
- Elementary (2nd, 3rd grades)
- Elementary (4th, 5th grades)
- Middle School (6th, 7th, 8th grades)
- High School (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th) and Francophiles
- Francophones
Important – Parent attendance required.
This event is not a drop-off event. We kindly ask parents of participating children up to middle school to remain on site and accompany their children for the duration of the event. La Dictée is meant to be a shared, intergenerational experience centered on the French language.
Wonderful prizes will be awarded, along with Distinguished Awards for the top winners.
La Dictée is above all a moment of gathering and connection around the French language. We would be delighted to welcome you as we celebrate Francophonie together in the heart of Silicon Valley.
