An evening of provocative, exuberant, eclectic performance and poetry is slated to hit the stage as Three Rooms Press and Beyond Baroque present the Ninth Annual ¡LA DI DADA! Salon: a wild ride of contemporary DADA performance and poetry by leading LA-area maverick artists. The event includes the West Coast launch of the internationally-renowned MAINTENANT 18: Journal of Contemporary Dada Writing and Art (2023, Three Rooms Press), which features more than 246 visual and literary works by artists and writers from six continents.
The event takes place Friday, December 13, 7:30pm at Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in Venice. Admission is $10; $6 for students & seniors. Beyond Baroque members are free. Costumes encouraged. Come as you aren’t.
The line-up features renowned contemporary DADA artists including Mona Jean Cedar & Jeff Boynton (Circuitry & Poetry), Allison Davis, Alejandro Escude, Rich Ferguson, Kathleen Florence, Michael C. Ford, Christian Georgescu, S.A. Griffin, Bibiana Padilla Maltos, Bronwyn Mauldin, Richard Modiano, Mike M. Mollett, Harry E. Northup, Travis Richardson, Neal Skooter Taylor, Jimmy Vega and Daniel Yaryan. Three Rooms Press co-founders and MAINTENANT editors Peter Carlaftes and Kat Georges host.
