About this Event
LCWC is honored to announce its 2nd Annual Gala, titled “Empowering Women’s Mental Health,” set to take place on October 12th, 2024, from 5PM-11PM, at Hilton Concord. This prestigious event aims to raise funds for women who throughout history have struggled with underlying pressures from society that in subtle or overt ways have impacted their mental, physical, and emotional health. LCWC aims to raise $300,000 to create a “Scholarships for Therapy” fund, for women and their families who are unable to afford and access mental health care.
The gala will be an evening of elegance and inspiration, featuring a dynamic program that includes keynote speeches from mental health advocates, a silent auction, formal dinner, awards & recognition of our local hero, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with community leaders, members, and contribute to a cause that touches the lives of women and their families.
Our keynote speakers will be Dr. Manuel Fernandez (CEO of La Concordia Wellness Center) and Amber Campbell, DBA (CEO of Ambulatory Services at the Sutter Gould Medical Foundation). Our closing remarks will be by Dr. Yvette Flores (Professor of Chicano Studies at U.C. Davis).
La Concordia’s 2nd annual gala is more than a fundraising event, it is a call to action and an opportunity for LCWC to continue providing services to low-income communities, at low-cost to no-cost. By attending, supporters will play a crucial role in the treatment of women struggling with traumas. Any opportunity for La Concordia to continue providing direct mental health access to these women is paramount for the wellbeing of our communities.
Join us on October 12th to be part of a transformative evening that empowers women’s mental health and inspires positive change.
