In connection with Joen Vedel's exhibition "NOW-TIME TV", we present Peter Watkins' monumental film La Commune (Paris, 1871). Through an innovative blend of documentary and fiction, the film reconstructs the dramatic 72 days of the Paris Commune, when the working class revolted against the French government and established a radically democratic self-governance. Prior to the screening, there will be a brief conversation between Joen Vedel and film curator Abirami Logendran where Vedel discusses how the film has inspired his work.
