La Città dell'Utopia International Film Festival was established to spotlight independent and emerging filmmakers who seek to express themselves as true auteurs, offering profound and unconventional artistic and critical perspectives. We aim to create a space where art becomes a central medium for dialogue, reflection, and change, fostering local and global connections.
The Festival celebrates the diversity of voices from independent or low-budget filmmakers worldwide, particularly those who dare to experiment and challenge mainstream norms.
The Festival is organized by La città dell’Utopia, promoted by Servizio Civile Internazionale and co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program and supported by the National Youth Agency.
The event will be held in the open-air venue of La Città dell’Utopia, a social laboratory in the San Paolo neighbourhood of southern Rome. This unique space serves as an experimental hub for active citizenship, encouraging dynamic exchanges between local and international communities.
