About this Event
La Chuparosa is an exciting new Latin fusion band based in Victoria BC. They describe their sound as Latin electronica meets afrobeat and cumbia in a psychedelic vortex of love. The group includes Nostic, a Peruvian-Canadian emcee and musician known for his bilingual Spanish and English rapping and his use of the Andean pan flute over hip hop and electronic beats.
Rebel Selector is the resident DJ of Nanaimo Reggae Massive and former longtime host of Rebel Music International on CHLY 101.7 FM. His sets take you on journey from foundational Jamaican reggae and dancehall to new fusion styles from around the world.
