Saturday 26th June 9:30am - 1:30pm
- Get your whanau into the DIY spirit and up-cycle wooden offcuts into a bug hotel with The Recreators
- Meet Amanda from Everybody Eats and learn about their kaupapa
- Bring up to 5 items of clothing which need to be mended and divert it from landfill
- Drop-off the clothes you don’t wear anymore and leave with a new outfit at the circular economy clothes swap station
- Share stories with locals about the landscape of waste in our community
- Play interactive waste education games and win prizes
- Have your say in our idea generator for how we can reduce waste in our daily lives and within the community
Sunday 27th June 1:30pm - 4:30pm
- Get your whanau into the DIY spirit and up-cycle fabric offcuts into a ruru soft toy with The Recreators
- Weave a reusable basket from renewable harakeke and learn the tikanga behind this resource
- Meet Wendy from Perfectly Imperfect, learn about how to reduce your food waste and take home a bag of fresh produce
- Bring up to 5 items of clothing which need to be mended and divert it from landfill
- Drop-off the clothes you don’t wear anymore and leave with a new outfit at the circular economy clothes swap station
- Share stories with locals about the landscape of waste in our community
- Play interactive waste education games and win prizes
- Have your say in our idea generator for how we can reduce waste in our daily lives and within the community
