We’ve checked the tide timetable so anchor your calendar now to take part in the 2025 Web Genius Kāpiti Run for Youth on Sunday 23 March 2025 to raise funds and fitness for Kāpiti rangatahi youth while having fun strolling or running along the beautiful Kāpiti coastline. Kāpiti Run for Youth has raised $254,472 since inception in 2011. In 2024 the event raised a record amount of $30,836 which was remarkable considering the tight financial environment. We know Kāpiti Run for Youth helps to support amazing community work done by local Fundraising Partners. With our support, all 13 Fundraising Partners can make a positive impact by continuing to do good in our community for youth which continues to motivate us. In the beginning Kāpiti Run for Youth was created by Web Genius as their way as a local business to ‘give back’ to the community so, more than a decade on we can proudly say the event is sustainable and is popular with all sorts, young and old, the fit and not so fit.
Kāpiti Run for Youth opens for registration early in January 2025 >> https://www.kapitirunforyouth.co.nz/register-
At that time, we will be seeking individuals and groups to get together to walk or run from Paraparaumu Beach (Maclean Park) to Raumati Beach and back. For those choosing the 12km walk or run, they will do two circuits of the course.
There are four options to choose from: 12 or 6km walk and the 12 or 6km run. Registration takes place from 8.30am to 9.45am with a briefing at 9.45am and all walkers and runners starting together at 10am. Once your profile is set-up online, let your family, friends and work mates know so they can sponsor your efforts. We encourage every participant to raise $20 through sponsorship instead of paying an entry fee. All entrants receive regular campaigns to motivate their sponsorship efforts along the way.
We are a family friendly event – all humans, baby buggies and crowd friendly dogs on leads are welcome. Bring your sunhat, sunscreen, and water on the day. There are sponsored prizes, treats for the kids, certificates for everyone participating and free Paekākāriki Mini Pops for everyone at the end.
Closer to the time, go to the website to register or sponsor someone that you know who is participating >> https://www.kapitirunforyouth.co.nz/sponsor-someone-
