It’s almost time to raise your stange! 🥳Kölsch Party Returns to Gigantic Brewing on Saturday, August 16th
Attention beer lovers, party people, and fans of all things crisp and German: the Kölsch Party is coming back to Gigantic Brewing! Join us on Saturday, August 16th from noon to 7pm at our SE Portland Taproom (5224 SE 26th Ave) for a day devoted to the most delicate and delicious style of beer—Kölsch.
We'll be pouring thirteen incredible Kölsch-style beers from some of our favorite breweries, near and far. You'll find the Gigantic classic Kölschtastic alongside offerings from 54-40, Breakside, Buoy, Double Mountain, Früh, Living Haus, Old Town, Reissdorf, Rosenstadt, Upright, Van Henion, and Zoiglhaus. It's a beer lineup that would make Cologne proud.
Here's how it works: grab a commemorative Kölsch Party stange glass—the same tall, skinny kind they use in Cologne—for just $4. You'll need it to taste the beer. Then, using our custom Kölsch Party coaster, you can order up to five 12 oz pours at a time, just $5 each. It's efficient, it's German, and it's fun as hell.
And what's a party without music? Festival Brass will be playing live all afternoon, bringing big, brassy, joyful German tunes to keep your feet tapping and your beer flowing. It's the kind of soundtrack that makes you want to grab another round and dance with strangers.
Hungry? We've got you. Otto's Sausage Kitchen is making special Kölschtastic Beer Sausages just for this event, and we'll be grilling them up hot and tasty. Add in some small-batch pretzels from the talented bakers at Nascent Bread—including traditional salted, unsalted, and a few surprise flavors—and you've got the perfect beer fest menu.
The Kölsch Party is free to attend and open to anyone 21+ with ID. Just bring a thirst for crisp beer and good times, and be ready to raise your glass with us.
