Önök miben hisznek? A pokol vagy az ördög létezésében?
Túl naiv vagy inkább túl intim a kérdés.
Kinek van kedve egyértelmű választ adni?
Havel azt írja: Az ördög az álcázás mestere, és elképzelhető-e okosabb álca, mint amilyet az újkori hitetlenség kínál számára?
Az ördög legjobb trükkje meggyőzni a világot arról, hogy nem létezik. Mi mégis mindig kísértésbe esünk, hogy kompromisszumot kössünk a Rosszal, egyezségre jussunk vele, vagy legalább elfordítsuk tőle a fejünket, nehogy megégessük magunkat, nevezzük a Rosszat akár ördögnek, ellenőrizetlen erőnek, vagy a szabad életet maga alá gyűrő ideológiának.
Václav Havel egy volt azon kevesek közül, akik nem féltek nemet mondani az ördögnek, bár voltak kétségei, hogy legalább részben nem adta-e meg magát a kísértésnek, és nem próbált-e egyezséget kötni vele.
A Kísértés ezen kétségek eredménye. Életével azonban bebizonyította, hogy helyt állt a vizsgán. Nem mindegyikünket jellemez ennyi bátorság, ennyi belső erő.
Szolzsenyicin szavai inspirálók lehetnek számunkra: „Ha már nem tudsz ellenállni a Rossznak, legalább ne segítsd őt!”
Sajnos ma is (és egyre többször) konfrontálódunk a Rosszal, ezért hiszek abban, hogy értelme van a Kísértés bemutatásának.

Întrebarea e poateprea naivă sau prea intimă.
Cine ar vrea să dea un răspuns clar?
Havel scrie: Diavolul este un maestru al deghizării. Poate exista o disimulare mai inteligentă decât cea oferită de necredința modernă?
Cel mai bun truc al diavolului este acela de a convinge lumea că el nu există. Cu toate acestea, suntem mereu tentați să ajungem la un compromis cu Răul, la un acord cu el sau, cel puțin, să ne întoarcem capetele în altă parte, pentru a nu ne arde, fie că numim Răul drept diavol, o forță incontrolabilă sau o ideologie care strivește libertatea.
Václav Havel a fost unul dintre puținii care nu s-a temut să-i spună nu diavolului, deși se întrebadacă nu a cedat măcar parțial tentației și dacă nu cumva a încercat să ajungă la o înțelegere cu el.
Ispita este rezultatul acestor îndoieli. Havel a demonstrat însă prin propria viață că a trecut testul. Nu toți avem acest curaj și această forță interioară.
Cuvintele lui Soljenițîn pot fi o sursă de inspirație pentru noi: „Dacă nu poți rezista Răului, măcar nu-l ajuta!”
Din păcate, ne confruntăm și astăzi (din ce în ce mai mult) cu Răul, de aceea cred că premiera spectacolului Ispita are un rost anume.

So, what do you believe in? The existence of hell or the devil?
Is the question too naive or too intimate to ask?
Who is willing to give a clear answer?
Havel writes: "The devil is a master of disguise, and is there a cleverer disguise than that which modern unbelief offers him?
The devil's best trick is to convince the world that he does not exist. Yet we are always tempted to compromise with Evil, to come to an agreement with it, or at least to turn our heads away from it, lest we burn ourselves, whether we call Evil the devil, an uncontrollable force, or an ideology that crushes a life lived freely.
Václav Havel was one of the few people who was not afraid to say no to the devil, although he doubted whether he had not at least partly given in to temptation and tried to make a deal with him.
Temptation is the result of these doubts. However, his life was proof that he had passed the test. Not all of us have such courage, such inner strength.
The words of Solzhenitsyn can be an inspiration to us all: "If you cannot resist Evil, at least do nothing to help it."
Unfortunately, even today (and increasingly so) we are confronted with Evil, which is why I believe that there is purpose in premiering Temptation.
