Kylie Fox and Josh Bravener - An Evening of Song & Story
Two of New Brunswick’s most compelling singer-songwriters, Kylie Fox and Josh Bravener, come together for a special evening of acoustic music and storytelling. With distinct voices and celebrated careers, these two artists offer contrasting yet complementary perspectives, ranging from quiet, poetic reflection to fiery, rock-fueled performance. Well acquainted and widely recognized as “Kenny & Dolly” during the holiday season, Fox and Bravener now step into the spotlight as themselves, sharing co-written and solo songs, and supporting one another throughout the show for a truly one-of-a-kind collaboration.
Kylie Fox is a genre-defying songstress whose latest album Sequoia (2024) has earned her an ECMA nomination for Solo Artist of the Year and praise for its rich storytelling and emotional depth. Her songs explore themes of environmentalism, femininity, love, and growth, with a style that blends folk, Americana, and theatrical flair. Drawing comparisons to Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, and Brandi Carlile, Fox’s live shows are intimate, witty, and deeply human.
Josh Bravener, frontman of acclaimed roots-rock outfit The Hypochondriacs, brings his electrifying solo presence to the stage. Known for his soulful lyrics and dynamic blend of country, rockabilly, and old-school rock and roll, Bravener has performed across North America and shared stages with the likes of Lukas Nelson. With multiple Music NB nominations, including Album of the Year and Recording of the Year, and a new live album released in 2024, his solo performance is raw, heartfelt, and unforgettable.
This is a rare opportunity to witness two of Atlantic Canada's finest artists in a shared spotlight, each bringing their own sound, stories, and stage magic.
