Kxx is an original alt rock band from Ballarat, who formed 2 years ago. Featuring singer/songwriter Kristine Allan on vocals and guitar. The songs explode with melody and sweet grit, it's post punk pixie meets indie pop/rock. Peter Allan adds melodic wonder on bass. Peter is a seasoned musician, playing in bands such as Creature Seed and as a solo singer songwriter in Australia and London. Kristine and Peter are married and have been playing music together in various shapes and forms over the years.
Kxx has played with many drummers, totalling 7. However, Kxx is pleased to announce Lesley Fromholtz is the bands 3rd permanent member. Lesley brings a punchy snap to the band which makes the songs dance. Kxx has been compared musically to The Kills, The Breeders and Josie and the Pussycats.
