Co-produced by the Auburn Avenue Research Library, Kwanzaa Freshii is a fresh new way to celebrate a rich and powerful culture. With a spotlight on the next generation, Kwanzaa Freshii fosters youth development through community-based arts experiences. Their contributions on stage and behind the scenes, also brings the cool, freshii vibes to this annual celebration of community and culture.
This event will feature Bro. Chike Akua, Egun Omode, Kilombo Creative Collective, Giwa-toto, and Giwayen Mata!
Doors and our community vendor marketplace open at 2:00 pm; the ceremony and concert begin at 3:00 pm.
The event will take place at Drew Charter School Junior/Senior Academy’s Yates Campus Theater, located at 300 Eva Davis Blvd., Atlanta, GA. The theater is situated behind the main building. This event does NOT take place at Drew Charter School Elementary School which is located across the street.
>>General seating is FREE and does NOT require registration. General seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
>>Reserved seating is available starting at $10. Reserved seating DOES REQUIRE registration.
>>Accessible seating is provided for patrons who require ASL, close seating, or wheelchair accessible seating and the patrons who are accompanying them. Register to reserve accessible seating at NO COST.
