1st to 30th of 9th Lunar Month (15Oct23 to 12Nov23)Every year, during the 9th Chinese Lunar Month, it is the festival of the Kusu Island Tua Pek Kong temple 龟屿大伯公宫 . Devotees from as far as Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia would make their way to go to Kusu Island to pay respect to Tua Pek Kong 大伯公宫.
Visitors to Kusu Island Tua Pek Kong Temple would also visit the Kramat on top of a hillock just across from the temple.
It is a tradition that has been around probably for more than 80 years. While the physical landscape of the island has changed, the tradition and the intangible heritage remain.
