“Barn Quilts” are large-scale, painted versions of traditional quilt blocks, usually displayed on the exterior of a barn or other building. These murals are a form of folk art, and celebrate heritage by telling a visual story about the location, its people and its history.Trondheim is home to the largest quilting club in Norway, and the region is known for its rich cultural tradition of folk painting (rosemaling).
Kari Greenberg MFA is a Trondheim artist, trained as a painter and now working in textiles, specifically quilting.
