Kundalini yoga is described as ''the yoga of awareness'' whilst Kundalini itself has been described as ''the nerve of the soul''. It contains a multidude of practises like chanting, kriyas (specific sets of movements each geared toward a specific purpose), meditation, mudras and dynamic movement, each designed to awaken Shakti (the divine energy sleeping in each of us). Kundalini yoga hits different to other types of yoga and is said to be the fastest route to enlightenment and self realization. No other practice has done more for me than Kundalini yoga.
