About this Event
The Holiday Lights Bike Ride is back for it’s 10th year! We can’t wait to light up the community with you on Sunday, December 15th. The fun will begin at 3 p.m. at Terrace Drive Mini Park in Kensington (near 4734 Terrace Drive) next to Ponce’s Mexican Restaurant.
Schedule:
Pick up your wristband anytime between 3 and 4:30 p.m., giving you access to explore our business participants and collect free giveaways. Visit our on-site sponsors to be entered to win a prize in our opportunity drawing! Decorate your bike with provided decorations, and participate in our bike decorating contest for a chance to win great prizes! The rides will begin around 5 p.m.
After the ride, enjoy our business participants’ giveaways and specials along Adams Avenue. Your wristband grants you access to it all!
Tickets are $10 for everyone, and children younger than 5 years old are free! Tickets will go on sale in November.
Tickets include:
- Guided, safety-patrolled ride
- Treats & specials from participating businesses
- Opportunity to win hundreds of dollars worth of prizes by visiting the event sponsors
- Bike decorations, crafts for kids, and much more!
Route
Like last year, we’ll be hosting two routes so that everyone can fully enjoy the ride!
- The 3-mile Full Ride is perfect for comfortable bike riders and people who would like to take a faster-paced ride around the neighborhood.
- The 1.75-mile Family-Friendly ride is a slower-paced ride required for those 8 years old and under, but open to anyone.
Bikes with pedals only, helmets are required, no strider bikes or scooters. The course is NOT closed to cars.
