KSD – Knife for Self Defense

The KSD class is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in learning how to handle a bladed weapon with confidence, competence, and responsibility. This course provides a balanced introduction to both offensive and defensive knife skills, with a strong emphasis on safety and real-world application.

Participants will learn foundational techniques designed to build awareness, control, and decision-making while working with edged weapons. The class is structured to be approachable for beginners while still offering meaningful skill development.

Offensive & Defensive Skills
Participants will learn a range of offensive and defensive knife techniques, including effective angles, movement, and blade management applicable to real-world self-defense situations.

Blade Safety
A strong emphasis is placed on safe handling and training practices to reduce the risk of injury. Proper control, awareness, and discipline are core components of the class.

Stress-Based Scenarios
Students will participate in controlled, stress-based scenarios designed to simulate high-pressure encounters. These drills help develop reaction time, composure, and decisive action under stress.

Distance Assessment
Understanding distance is critical when working with edged weapons. Participants will learn how to gauge, manage, and maintain appropriate distance to maximize effectiveness while minimizing risk.

• Athletic Clothing – Comfortable workout attire that allows free movement

Safety is the top priority in this class. All participants are required to:

• Follow the instructor's directions at all times
• Adhere to established safety protocols during drills and scenarios
• Wear any protective equipment as instructed
