Cymysgedd gwych o gerddoriaeth Bwylaidd fodern, klezmer, jas cyfoes a cherddoriaeth glasurol siambr yn dychwelyd i’r DU yn ystod gwanwyn ’25 ar gyfer taith 16-dyddiad.
“Yr hyn sy’n fy nhynnu i mewn i gerddoriaeth Kroke mor llwyddiannus yw’r realiti ysbrydol sydd ganddyn’ nhw… y gonestrwydd a’r diffuantrwydd yn eu cerddoriaeth.” - NIGEL KENNEDY
Mae’n bleser mawr gan Mwldan gyflwyno taith 16-dyddiad o amgylch y DU gan un o driawdau mwyaf clodwiw Gwlad Pwyl sef Kroke.
Bydd Kroke (Iddew-Almaeneg am Kraków) yn perfformio’r gorau o ganeuon mwyaf poblogaidd y band dros yrfa syfrdanol o 30 mlynedd.
Wedi'i ffurfio ym 1992 gan dri chyfaill - Tomasz Kukrba, Jerzy Bawof a Tomasz Lato, graddedigion o’r Academi Gerddoriaeth yn Krakow, ‘roedd Kroke yn gysylltiedig yn wreiddiol â cherddoriaeth klezmer gyda dylanwadau Balcanaidd cryf. Erbyn heddiw mae’r triawd wedi’u dylanwadu’n drwm gan jas, cerddoriaeth gyfoes ac ethnig wedi’u trwytho gyda’u gwaith byrfyfyr syfrdanol eu hunain, ac maent wedi datblygu arddull hollol unigryw sydd wedi arwain at wahoddiadau i gydweithio gydag artistiaid rhyngwladol o fri, gan ddifyrru cynulleidfaoedd ledled y byd.
“Mae Kroke yn chwarae’n fyw yn brofiad gwbl wych.” - JON LUSK, BBC RADIO 3
“Mae Kroke, band klezmer o Wlad Pwyl, yn drysor. ….. maent yn symud y tu hwnt i fywiog tuag at sain epig sydd weithiau’n histrionig ond hefyd yn hynod deimladwy. Yn ogystal, nhw yw’r act fwyaf cŵl yn weledol ar y sîn” - WOMAD ON KROKE

An exquisite mix of modern Polish music, klezmer, contemporary jazz and chamber classical music returning to the UK in spring ’25 for a 16-date tour
"What drags me into Kroke’s music so successfully is this spiritual reality they have… it’s honesty and sincerity in their music.” - NIGEL KENNEDY
Mwldan is delighted to present a 16-date tour of the UK from one of Poland’s most acclaimed trios, Kroke.
Kroke (Yiddish for Kraków) will perform a 'best of' the band’s most popular songs from a stunning 30-year career.
Formed in 1992 by three friends - Tomasz Kukrba, Jerzy Bawof and Tomasz Lato - graduates of the Academy of Music in Krakow, Kroke were initially associated with klezmer music with strong Balkan influences. Nowadays heavily influenced by jazz, contemporary and ethnic music imbued with their own stunning improvisations, the trio have honed a totally unique style which has led to collaboration invitations with renowned international artists and delighted audiences the world over.
"What drags me into Kroke’s music so successfully is this spiritual reality they have… it’s honesty and sincerity in their music.” - NIGEL KENNEDY
“Kroke live are a hair-raisingly brilliant, unforgettable experience.” - JON LUSK, BBC RADIO 3
“Kroke, a klezmer band from Poland are gems. ….. they move beyond the rumbustious towards an epic sound that’s sometimes histrionic but also deeply moving. To boot, they are the coolest-looking act in town” - WOMAD ON KROKE
