As one of India’s most revered modern masters turns 100 the National Gallery of Modern Art Mumbai opens its doors to celebrate a century of Krishen Khanna’s art memory and modernity with the exhibition Krishen Khanna at 100: The Last Progressive. The exhibition will take place at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) Mumbai from November 10 to December 10 2025.
Marking the centenary year of one of India’s pioneering modern artists this landmark exhibition the first museum-based retrospective of Krishen Khanna’s oeuvre celebrates his extraordinary artistic journey and his profound contribution to Indian modernism. Curated by Dr Zehra Jumabhoy and Kajoli Khanna the retrospective will occupy all four floors of NGMA Mumbai tracing Khanna’s artistic evolution from the 1940s to the present day.
